Born in India, Priyanka Tewari learned painting as a child, and earned a Diploma in 2000, from Bhangiya Sangeet Parishad, recognized by Indira Kala Sangeet University, India.

After receiving her Bachelors degree in Engineering, she worked with a global firm for 9 years, before quitting her job to take up art full time. Her solo art show in India, in 2014, was well received, and she was featured as  “Courageous Operator” by Creativity & Human Development journal, an international non profit, supported by the Arts Council of England, and the Kingdom of the Netherlands. Her works have also been published in Art Journals in United States, and in National Newspapers in India. She also published her first art and poetry book titled “Signs” in 2018 with foreword by a Museum Educator at Guggenheim Museum, New York.

 

Her work has been exhibited at Art Helix, Brooklyn; Tribeca Art Factory,Manhattan; New York University; Arts Council of Ossining, New York; Bethany Arts Centre, Ossining, New York; Ossining Public Library, New York;Bean Runner Cafe, New York; Chitrakala Parishath, Bangalore, India; Prestige Tech Park, Bangalore, India.

 

Priyanka lives with her husband and son in Bengaluru, India.
